SA Recycling seeks a Buyer to grow and manage a book of business across Commercial, Industrial, and Dealer accounts for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. You will negotiate pricing, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

The role involves traveling to suppliers, coordinating with the General Manager and National Sales Team, and driving profitability while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 4 years of Buyer experience in scrap metals industry.
• Strong contract negotiation and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to generate leads, qualify prospects, and close deals.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAI or similar software a plus.

Responsabilités

• Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous metals to grow margins and market share.
• Identify and secure new commercial, industrial, and dealer accounts.
• Purchase materials per current market conditions within pricing models.
• Visit suppliers regularly to strengthen relationships and monitor market conditions.
• Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations for purchasing and processing.
• Provide exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Contribute to regional purchasing, marketing, and profitability goals.
• Maintain records for purchasing, sourcing, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with facility General Managers on inspection of material.
