Job summary

ANSER seeks a Metallurgy Analyst to support the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment program. You will evaluate critical minerals, materials, and industrial base supply chain challenges, develop acquisition documentation, and assess technical feasibility to support investment decisions.

Work location may be onsite at ANSER headquarters in Arlington, VA; Mark Center in Alexandria, VA; or telework within the National Capital Region.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of mineral processing, production, science, or technology analysis.
  • Understanding of critical minerals/minerals, mineralogy, mineral exploration, or geology.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for senior leadership briefings and reports.
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo, team-oriented environment and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with DoD and interagency partners to identify material requirements and mitigate industrial base risks.
  • Manage annual budget processes across large-scale minerals and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and evaluate industry project calls to advance prototypes to production.
  • Evaluate projects for feasibility and recommend investments and prototyping efforts.
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and performance across projects and report progress.
