Job summary

Walmart in Bentonville is seeking a Manager, Merchandising Planning to lead financial forecasting, category analysis, and promotional planning using data-driven insights to optimize sales and inventory. You will steer budgets and communicate financial outcomes.

Collaborate across teams to align forecasts with business objectives, improve in-stock performance, and drive profitability while fostering a high-performing, customer-centric merchandising planning team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and 2 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
• OR 4 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Lead category financial forecasting using data analytics and business intelligence to project results and guide team actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasts, promotional plans, and feature strategies with business objectives.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and pricing impacts to optimize merchandise planning and maximize profitability.
• Develop and communicate financial targets, budgets, and performance updates to stakeholders.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve customer outcomes and drive sales optimization.
• Utilize digital tools to assess category health, identify opportunities, and influence strategic decisions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching, and accountability within the merchandising planning team.
