Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business or Horticulture preferred.
• 2 years experience in a comparable role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and data management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented with vendor relationship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in product research, contract administration, purchasing, vendor management and pricing strategy.
• Develop strategic category assortment plans for seasonal products based on analysis and forecasts.
• Monitor metrics like sell-through, inventory turn and carryover; drive improvements.
• Source products differentiating from competitors and attend trade shows when appropriate.
• Participate in seasonal product placement and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with marketing and store teams to communicate merchandising strategies.
• Analyze sales trends and present findings to identify opportunities to optimize offerings.
• Support lifecycle management of products, pricing and clearance strategies.
