Job summary

The Planner at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA will develop monthly financial plans and forecasts for the department, partnering with merchants to optimize assortment and inventory turnover. You’ll use analytics to maximize sales and profit while aligning to the department strategy.

This hybrid role requires strong Excel and planning-software skills, with 2–5 years’ experience in retail finance. The position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred 2-5 years’ experience
• Understands financial metrics inclusive of sales, margin, inventory turn, weeks of supply
• Strong problem solving, retail math, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cross functionally

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and department budgeting for sales, margin and inventory KPI’s
• Support creation of an optimal assortment and strategic flow plans
• Builds sales and inventory plans to drive profitability
• Influences inventory productivity including end-of-life activity
• Identify opportunities 1–6 months out by analyzing trends
• Apply market trends to planned categories
• Partner with Buyers to develop monthly bottom-up forecasts
• Evaluate opportunities/risks and suggest markdowns and promotions
• Ensure inventory plans/flow for new club openings
