Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Planner to develop monthly financial plans and forecasts that align with department strategy. You will collaborate with merchants to maximize sales and profit and optimize inventory turnover through data-driven lifecycle analytics.

You will oversee allocation partners and ensure products are available in the right channel at the right time, meeting member expectations while achieving departmental targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in forecasting and planning processes.
• Strong grasp of sales, margin, and inventory KPIs.
• Experience with retail planning software and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Forecast financials and department plans; track sales and inventory metrics.
• Create optimal assortment and flow plans; drive profitability.
• Identify opportunities 1–6 months out by analyzing trends and market data.
• Develop monthly bottom-up forecast with Buyers focusing on sales, margin, and inventory targets.
• Communicate risks and opportunities; recommend markdowns and promotions as needed.
• Lead inventory planning for new club openings and ongoing operations.
