Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years’ previous scheduling experience.
• Infusion: Minimum of three years’ previous scheduling experience in healthcare setting required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safety measures.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus Healthcare database systems required.
• Strong knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Proven ability to interface with all customer levels (Physicians, Staff, Vendors, Patients, Family members).
• Full understanding of medical insurance procedures required.
• Basic keyboarding minimum 35 WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient procedure and surgical schedules.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and multiple departments to schedule complex procedures.
• Collaborate with Insurance Verification Specialists and assist with authorization processes.
• Coordinate pre-procedure tests, clearances, and treatment plan scheduling.
• Maintain patient charts and perform clerical duties including data entry.
• Support master schedule for procedures and manage case resource needs.
• Provide coverage for Lead Clerk between campuses when needed.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and adhere to SOPs.
