Job summary

MicroAire Surgical Instruments LLC in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage procurement, planning, and supplier relationships for medical devices. You will optimize inventory, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure production continuity while balancing cost, quality, and delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years in supply chain, with ERP/MRP experience, strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel. Travel is limited; APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of supply chain experience with ERP/MRP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Medical device experience or regulated manufacturing preferred; APICS/ASCM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers to ensure continuous supply meeting quality and production needs.
• Utilize ERP systems to maintain planning parameters and optimize inventory and service levels.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to investigate nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
• Collect, organize, and analyze supply chain data to improve KPIs like on-time delivery and inventory turns.
• Work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
