Job summary

AARP is seeking a Media Planning Analyst to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate projects that support health and financial security initiatives for Americans 50+. You will track budgets, milestones, and stakeholder communications while coordinating with internal and external teams to optimize processes and deliver impactful consumer experiences.

You will oversee day-to-day planning, lead project teams, and report progress to leadership, ensuring adherence to quality standards and scalable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • Experience in media planning, project coordination, marketing, event management, internships, or related environments.
  • Knowledge of project management principles including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and milestones.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with ability to create reports and docs.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Jira or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day planning and execution of events, consumer experiences, or other projects and their communications plans.
  • Organizes project teams and leads internal and external members to deliver on project goals.
  • Provides project management, tracks milestones, and prepares reports for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identifies and develops new procedures to support the organization and project implementation.
  • Manages multiple events or projects simultaneously at different stages of the lifecycle.
