Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Materials Planning Manager in Simi Valley, CA. You will oversee materials planning, purchasing, scheduling, inventory control and asset management, ensuring cost-effective operations aligned with policy.

You will coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, IT and business units to optimize flow from procurement through delivery. The role includes direct leadership of planning functions, matrix management, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Purchasing and Planning roles.
• Analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and automate opportunities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the planning department related to supply planning and production scheduling.
• Lead materials management activities including PO management, delivery, inventory, and production planning; own SIOP process.
• Accountable for plant materials metrics and performance standards; investigate discrepancies.
• Define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery.
• Ensure policies align with inventory control objectives of the corporation.
• Support audits related to planning, procurement or inventory control.
• Develop and coach materials team members and communicate policies.
• Benchmark supplier management systems and implement best practices.
• Support Lean principles andKanban across the division.
