Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a seasoned Materials Leader to drive planning, analytics, and supplier collaboration in our Indiana manufacturing environment. You will oversee MRP-driven material flow, inventory control, and cross-functional projects, ensuring timely deliveries and accuracy.

The role demands a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of materials leadership experience, strong communication, and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and tools such as Aurora, Cori, and QlikView.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or supply chain management; certifications preferred.
• 5 years materials leadership or planning in a complex/fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, inventory control, MRP, purchasing.
• Strong background in planning, logistics and inventory control; capable of switching to a new MRP system.
• Proficient in supervising and motivating subordinates; excellent communication skills.
• Analytical, mathematical, and detail-oriented with project management experience.
• Proficient on ERP/MRP, Microsoft Office and Aurora, Cori, QlikView; independent and team player.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members, cross-functional teams, internal customers and external suppliers.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates, monitors quality of work, recognizes performance.
• Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
• Manage team activities including vacation approvals, timecard approvals, hiring, and training.
• Maintain knowledge of operating systems pertaining to materials and manufacturing teams.
• Plan with information systems & technology to optimize the use of MRP information that improves material flow.
• Researches, analyzes, and monitors suppliers on-time delivery to meet corporate goals.
• Ensure customer is top priority; reduce shortages and implement corrective actions when flow fails.
• Supports annual physical inventory and manages detailed material plans.
• Control inventory levels and develop ways to improve turns; reduce obsolescence.
• Manage supplier on-time delivery evaluation program and collaborate to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects.
