Job summary

Nestlé Health Science in Bohemia, NY is seeking a Materials Planning Specialist to manage the materials flow (raw and packaging) to meet production plans and customer service goals. You will coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Vendors, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels at the Bohemia manufacturing site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 4+ years in production planning or supply chain, plus strong MS Office and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Project Management.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience using ERP systems in a CPG company (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Order all raw materials and packaging needed to support the detailed production plan.
• Monitor MRP signals to ensure correct lead times and quantities before PO creation.
• Manage shortages and risk mitigation to prevent production disruptions.
• Maintain material master data and confirm lead times, min/max, safety stocks.
• Manage excess and obsolete inventory with disposition and reduction plans.
• Monitor inventory health and KPIs like DIO and service level.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supply & Demand Planning, Project Managers, Warehouse, Transportation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by direct Manager.
