Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Materials Planner to optimize material planning and scheduling across regions, ensuring timely delivery of products. You will translate forecasts and sales orders into physical orders, collaborate with sales, operations, and AMO, and manage inventory to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes forecasting accuracy, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives within a global supply chain team.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree in Supply Chain or related field; 2+ years’ experience.
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management.
• Basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality.
• Ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
• Tactical execution with a sense of urgency.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecast regional demand (12–18 months) and global forecasts with Sales/Operations.
• Translate demand plans into physical orders and prioritize delivery dates.
• Identify trends, opportunities and impacts on demand forecasts.
• Analyze incoming demand, identify exceptions and inventory opportunities.
• Plan and schedule order timelines to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.
• Collaborate with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to adjust delivery dates as needed.
• Perform material management analyses (consumption, aging inventory, safety stock).
• Implement inventory stocking strategies and monitor stock levels across regions.
