Job summary

Jabil in Florence, KY is seeking a dedicated Material Planner to ensure smooth material flow, align with production schedules, and support on‑time delivery. You will partner with procurement, production, and logistics to optimize inventory and control costs in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a background in materials planning, ERP systems, and inventory management, with 1+ year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Scheduling or related field.
• SAP or ERP experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations in electronics manufacturing or high‑volume production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, adjust planning strategies, and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Implement and maintain inventory management and control systems.
• Coordinate materials control activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Manage material flow through receiving, storage, kitting, and distribution.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and other supply chain teams.
• Perform material forecasting and detailed planning for deliveries.
• Apply supply chain control techniques to mitigate shortages, overages, or delays.
• Analyze material usage trends and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Generate reports on inventory accuracy, material availability, and supply chain performance.
