Job summary

ERMCO Inc. is seeking a seasoned Materials Manager to lead planning, scheduling, and inventory control in our Athens, GA facility.

You will own S&OP processes, coordinate with operations, procurement, and engineering, and drive improvements in material flow and on-time delivery. The role emphasizes strategic planning balanced with execution, mentoring team members, and delivering reliable production schedules to support customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive materials management or supply chain leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving improvements.
• MBA is a plus but not required.
• Experience in transformer/electrical equipment manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials planning, scheduling, inventory control, and material handling.
• Own the S&OP process to align demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Develop and maintain master production schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Manage inventory performance across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Improve planning processes, forecasting methods, and replenishment strategies.
• Drive cycle counting, audits, and corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, engineering, finance to improve on-time delivery.
