Hubbell Incorporated, a leading global manufacturer of electrical and utility solutions, seeks an AMI Electric Buyer/Planner in the United States to manage procurement, material planning, and supplier performance for assigned commodities. This role partners with internal teams and contract manufacturers to ensure material availability and on-time production.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement, production planning, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Create, release, maintain, and monitor purchase orders to support make-to-stock production.
• Manage product serialization activities and ensure data accuracy across product groups.
• Review inventory availability and allocate stock to customer sales orders by priority.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Manufacturing to set priorities and provide updates.
• Maintain and communicate sales order fulfillment and shipping schedules.
• Review suppliers and contract manufacturers for production schedules, capacity, and performance.
• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and expedite as needed.
• Resolve material, invoice, payment, and quality-related issues with suppliers.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned commodities, suppliers, and procurement systems.
• Investigate data integrity, ERP, and serialization issues as needed.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse for shipment planning and inventory movement.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts and supply plans with Planning teams.
• Analyze inventory levels and take actions to reduce excess and slow-moving stock while maintaining service levels.
• Support cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
