VFP, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Clerk to maintain stock levels, process requisitions, and support plant operations in Duffield, VA. You will manage vendor communications, monitor backorders, and assist with ECN/part-number changes.

Responsibilities include expediting orders, verifying inventory, and coordinating with Accounting on invoices. A valid driver’s license is required and proficiency with MS Office and inventory systems is expected.

Formación

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years in purchasing and supply chain
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of algebra, geometry and formulas
• Strong computer skills and payroll/inventory systems

Responsabilidades

• Review stock material in warehouse for order placement and replacements.
• Verify and count stock in warehouse locations for work orders.
• Perform bi-annual inventory and ad hoc inventory checks.
• Review requisitions and compare quantities to inventory levels.
• Place indirect orders for maintenance, service calls and plant upgrades.
• Expedite back orders and notify relevant departments.
• Evaluate vendor performance and source alternatives when needed.
• Update shortage lists with delivery dates, PO numbers and vendor refs.
• Meet with vendors, customers and sales reps; assist with material locating.
• Coordinate with Engineering on part numbers and ECN updates.
• Request MSDS forms for hazardous materials from vendors.
• Set up credit accounts with new vendors and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Support warehouse tagging systems and VMI program setup.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety in warehouse operations.
