Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years of warehouse experience required; familiarity with electric utility or cooperative construction material units and equipment preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Purchasing experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License required.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office required.
• Strong math skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for CVEC and CVSI electrical, fiber optic, and other materials as needed.
• Verify receipt of supplies, pricing, paperwork, and computer records, and provide information to Accounts Payable for invoice processing.
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory levels by working with the Inventory Control and Facilities Supervisor, Supply Team Associates, vendors, and distributors.
• Support large projects by assisting with bids, requests for proposals, quotations, bills of material, and coordination of transmission material deliveries.
• Expedite materials, follow up on backorders, and assist with annual physical inventory.
• Periodically assist with receiving, unloading, issuing, relocating, and transferring materials.
