Job summary

Oregon Freeze Dry is seeking a Buyer II to procure raw materials, packaging, and indirect materials to support our manufacturing operations. You will manage purchase orders in our ERP system, monitor inventory and supplier lead times, and build relationships that drive quality and cost efficiency.

In this role you will collaborate with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to ensure material availability while minimizing waste, and you will negotiate terms and monitor supplier

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in Purchasing, preferably in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials, packaging, and indirect materials to support production.
• Create and manage purchase orders in ERP for timely replenishment.
• Monitor inventory, demand forecasts, and supplier lead times.
• Develop supplier relationships focusing on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities within authority.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues.
• Identify shortages and disruptions and coordinate resolutions.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance reviews.
