RTX, a U.S.-based defense contractor, seeks a Material Program Manager for the Advanced Technology team onsite in Tucson, AZ. The role handles material procurement, supplier management, and POs across IRAD and capital projects while interfacing with TALs and PIs. Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

The position emphasizes timely procurement, cross-functional coordination, and adherence to security standards, with travel up to 20% and on-site work.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in Logistics, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Operations, Production Control, Procurement or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
• Reviewing and providing SCM inputs for SSOWs.
• Generating RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and evaluating supplier proposals.
• Creating requests for material and short text purchase requests.
• Driving Purchase Requisition generation and PO management.
• Adhering to applicable policies to perform MPM tasks.
• Coordinating with production control and procurement for task handoffs.
• Collaborating with engineering teams on supply chain needs.
• Facilitating NDA/PI creation with new suppliers.
• Working with AT IRAD Procurement to streamline PO cycle time.
• Ability to travel ~20%
