Job summary

General Fasteners Company in Livonia, MI is seeking a full-time Material Planner to manage day-to-day material planning, inventory levels, and supplier coordination for assigned accounts.

You will partner with Customer Service and Program Management to ensure on-time product availability, optimize replenishment, and support vendor managed inventory initiatives, while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-growing, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in a material planning role.
• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuit of) in business-related field, preferably concentrating in Supply Chain or Purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage inventory reporting tools weekly (Purchase Order Reports, Open PO Reports, Quarantine Reports).
• Issue purchase orders to the supply base manually.
• Maintain the open order report with accurate information for all orders.
• Coordinate with Customer Service on inventory issues for assigned accounts.
• Communicate with Supplier Quality to address non-conforming material and minimize impact.
• Support Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews and inventory planning improvements.
