Job summary

Yanfeng in Michigan is seeking a Supply Chain/Materials Manager to ensure on-time delivery and materials availability. You will optimize freight and inventories and implement production scheduling, logistics, and inventory control to maintain a smooth flow of production.

You will lead the materials handling staff, travel to customer sites, and drive cost-effective inbound/outbound transportation while maintaining minimal inventories and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Area of study in supply chain, business administration, finance or similar.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Less than 1 year of automotive industry experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquisition of materials.
• Optimize freight and inventories.
• Implement production scheduling, logistics and inventory control for uninterrupted production.
• Select, motivate, train, and develop materials handling staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with corrective action.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Daily checks verifying materials are stored correctly.
• Manage economical inbound/outbound transportation routes and consolidation.
