Job summary

General Fasteners Company is seeking a full-time Material Planner to manage day-to-day material planning for customer accounts and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery. The role emphasizes maintaining optimal inventory levels, accurate reporting, and close collaboration with Customer Service and Program Management to prevent stockouts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in material planning
• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuit) in business-related field, preferably concentrating in Supply Chain or Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze inventory management reporting tools weekly
• Issue purchase orders to the supply base manually
• Manage the open order report with accurate system updates
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Program Managers on inventory issues
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality to resolve non-conforming material
• Ensure material availability to support customer requirements
