Job summary

DSV is seeking a Procurement Specialist, Material Planner in Lithia Springs, USA, to serve as a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the fulfillment site. The role focuses on ensuring timely material availability, managing purchase orders, and maintaining lead times to meet customer commitments.

The position requires 2–4 years related experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally prefer 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commitments from demand planning groups are within the agreed product lead times.
• Resolve delays in providing material within the agreed lead time.
• Manage lead times of all POs placed on behalf of the customer and report on lead times.
• Expedite POs as needed.
• Ensure the recommit process is followed as needed.
• Review backlog and coordinate with supplier; review recommits and expedited requests.
• Review suppliers' build/ship plans to meet commitments based on PO dates.
• Identify and address potential on-time shipment issues and document weekly.
• Schedule orders outside lead time; determine reasons for delays.
• Monitor PO lead times and report attainment; explain deviations to correct issues.
