Job summary

PROENERGY, Houston, TX, seeks a Material Planner to own material readiness visibility and coordinate with production planning, procurement, and warehouse teams.

You will surface shortages, maintain Ready/At Risk/Short status, and drive shortages to closure through defined escalation processes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in material planning, strong Excel, ERP experience, and English fluency; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Education as stated; HS diploma required, higher degree preferred.
• 2+ years in material planning, coordination, or inventory control.
• Advanced Excel skills and BOM familiarity.
• ERP experience in inventory, planning, and procurement.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English and US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Own material readiness status for assigned scope: monitor availability and readiness by module, engine, or project.
• Identify constraints before they bite: surface shortages, late deliveries, and missing parts early.
• Maintain the shortage management process: create and maintain shortage lists with owners and actions.
• Coordinate readiness — information only: direct priorities to warehouse and material coordinators.
• Chase supply status upstream: work with procurement for status on outstanding material.
• Audit planning parameters on a quarterly cadence with procurement and inventory control.
• Support recovery and pull-ahead during schedule recovery.
• Report and participate on cadence: keep records of status, shortages, and actions.
• Shrink the firefighting: feed recurring shortage causes to prevent future shortages.
• Support the D365 / ERP implementation and validation during testing.
