Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Material Planner in Houston, TX to own material readiness and coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and production teams. You will surface shortages, track shortages by project, and keep the production schedule on track.

Responsibilities include managing shortage lists, escalating issues, and collaborating with suppliers to update dates and readiness. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in material planning, material coordination, production planning support, or inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel proficiency and disciplined record-keeping.
• Hands-on ERP experience in inventory, planning, and procurement modules.
• Must be fluent in English; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Own material readiness status for assigned scope: monitor availability and readiness by module, engine, or project, and maintain a Ready/At Risk/Short status.
• Identify constraints before they bite: review material requirements against the production schedule and surface shortages early.
• Maintain shortage management: create and maintain shortage lists, provide daily readiness updates, and drive items to closure.
• Coordinate readiness with warehouse, kitting, and material coordinators to ensure materials are picked, staged, and available.
• Chase supply status upstream: work with procurement and suppliers for status on outstanding material and feed confirmed dates back into the readiness picture.
