Job summary

PROENERGY in Sedalia, MO, is seeking a Material Planner to own material readiness, surface shortages early, and keep production planning aligned with the schedule. You will coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed.

The role requires 2+ years in material planning, strong Excel skills, and hands-on ERP experience. A high school diploma is required; a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of material planning experience in manufacturing.
• Strong Excel proficiency and disciplined record-keeping.
• Hands-on ERP experience in inventory, planning, and procurement.
• Fluent English and US work authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Own material readiness status for assigned scope and publish Ready/At Risk/Short status.
• Identify constraints before they impact the schedule and flag upcoming issues.
• Maintain the shortage management process with receipts, owners, and actions.
• Coordinate readiness with warehouse, kitting, and material coordinators.
• Chase supply status upstream with procurement and suppliers.
• Audit planning parameters quarterly and adjust as needed.
• Support schedule recovery by identifying material constraints and opportunities.
• Report status and risks in daily production planning meetings.
• Reduce shortages by addressing root causes and improving processes.
• Assist with D365/ERP testing and cutover validation.
