Job summary

Vulcan is seeking a Master Production Planner to own the Fluid End production schedule across two facilities. You will translate demand into executable plans, manage BOMs, and ensure material supply and on-time delivery using Infor CloudSuite and CSI/Syteline.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement in planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 5+ years in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• 7+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI / Syteline).
• Experience with CSI APS and demand forecasting tools.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
• Ability to translate S&OP outputs into schedules.
• Understanding of inventory management principles (safety stock, Min/Max).
• CPIM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize detailed production and assembly schedules for Fluid End Product Line across two facilities.
• Own Fluid End production schedule with multi-level BOMs, align capacity and demand; give reliable completion dates.
• Convert S&OP outputs into actionable production timelines in Syteline.
• Maintain and enhance APS inputs in Infor CloudSuite (Syteline).
• Communicate production schedules to shop floor and maintain dispatches.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages; lead cross-functional recovery plans.
• Ensure inventory compliance by managing stocking levels, safety stock, and forecasting accuracy.
• Oversee intracompany transfer orders to support field service and demand.
• Conduct periodic reviews of safety stock, Min/Max, lead times, and surplus.
• Serve as technical expert in Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI / Syteline).
• Utilize Cyberquery and Excel-based tools for real-time data mining and KPI reporting.
• Track and report on inventory turns, safety stock values, transfers, shortages, stock-to-sale ratios.
• Monitor forecasts and demand fluctuations to adjust production planning.
• Manage outside processing timelines to ensure procurement and availability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
