Job summary

The Dixon Group is seeking a Marketing Intelligence Analyst to join our Chestertown, MD office. You will provide strategic decision support by delivering actionable insights into markets, competitors, customers and emerging technologies, helping identify growth opportunities and inform investments.

As a member of the Business Development team, you will establish research processes, develop standardized reporting, create business briefs and reports, leverage AI-enabled research tools, and respond

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or related field; 3+ years as business analyst/market intelligence preferred.
• Experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, market research, strategic planning, product marketing, business analysis, or related field.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise, actionable recommendations.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business productivity software.
• Experience using AI-enabled research tools while applying sound judgment to validate findings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other analytics/visualization tools a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry, competitive, and customer research to identify growth opportunities and support strategic business decisions.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain intelligence on markets, customers, and competitors to support product development, sales, marketing, and leadership initiatives.
• Gather and interpret Voice of Customer feedback through interviews, surveys, and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor market dynamics, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact business performance.
• Build and maintain a centralized market intelligence knowledge base and leverage research tools, databases, and AI-powered resources.
• Respond to research requests from leadership and cross-functional teams and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Continuously enhance market intelligence processes and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
