Job summary

IPA - Innovative Product Achievements is seeking a Manufacturing Procurement Specialist to secure the right materials from the right suppliers at the right cost for our manufacturing operations. You will source components, review BOMs, and manage supplier relationships to support production.

Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance, you will help reduce risk, control costs, and ensure material availability while driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing in manufacturing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Proven success negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Rootstock/Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; exposure to Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and strategic value.
• Translate drawings and BOMs into sourcing requirements and supplier specs.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery, and payment terms to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance with scorecards and feedback.
• Develop dual-source strategies to reduce single-source risk and improve resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and manage inventory.
• Verify invoices against POs and contracts; coordinate with Accounts Payable for timely payments.
• Maintain ERP data accuracy for vendors, items, pricing, and transactions.
• Assist with trade compliance and environmental documentation as needed.
• Analyze procurement metrics to identify cost savings and process improvements.
