Job summary

E&E Manufacturing Co., Inc is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant in Plymouth, MI to own product costing and pricing analysis. This role reports to the CFO and drives clarity in cost, margin, and pricing decisions across our customer base.

You will build standard costs in Plex, maintain gross margin visibility, and partner with leadership to fix underpriced or loss-making programs, ensuring actionable cost data for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA a plus
• 5+ years cost accounting experience in manufacturing
• Experience with standard costing, BOMs, and cost roll-ups

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain standard costs across all products in Plex (materials, labor, overhead).
• Build and maintain gross margin visibility across customers and parts.
• Investigate margin anomalies with CFO and propose pricing actions.
• Update cost structure, roll-ups, BOM accuracy, and labor/overhead rates.
• Analyze variances and explain root causes to leadership.
• Support pricing decisions and quoting with current cost data.
• Maintain pricing files and flag contracts with cost drift.
• Assist month-end close related to inventory, COGS, and journals.
• Support physical inventory and cycle count reconciliation.
• Prepare ad hoc margin analyses for CFO and execs.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, engineering on costing.
