Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst to support the business operations team in understanding cost drivers and expenditures. You will analyze costs across inventory, raw materials, labor, and overhead, perform PPV and margin analyses, and assist with month-end close and journal entries in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5-7 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, CPG a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and solid accounting principles.
• High proficiency in Excel with v-lookups and pivot tables.
• ERP experience; MS D365 is a plus.
• Experience with Nulogy WMS/MRP software a plus.
• Ability to communicate results to diverse audiences.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Inquisitive and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of activities such as inventory and overhead.
• PPV analysis and reporting.
• Margin analysis on material revenue vs costs, including yield/scrap loss.
• Assist in month-end close and journal entries.
• GL reconciliations and inventory balancing analysis.
• Assist with audits (external and internal).
• Continuous improvement of cost accounting processes.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
