Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
• 3–6 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently on job costing, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience a plus.
• CMA or CPA a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting for engineered-to-order manufacturing operations, including job costing, standard cost maintenance, and variance analysis.
• Partner with estimating, engineering, and operations to ensure accurate cost data for quoting and margin visibility.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and support cost-of-goods-sold reporting.
• Analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead) and document root causes.
• Coordinate standard cost updates and maintain BOMs, routings, and overhead rates.
• Support month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Provide ad hoc cost analysis for quoting, make-vs-buy decisions, and margin reviews.
• Assist with annual physical inventory and external audit requests related to cost accounting.
• Contribute to ERP upgrade cost-workstreams and process improvements in finance.
