Job summary

MB Companies, an Aebi Schmidt brand, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Controller in maintaining accurate financial data and cost accounting for our Chilton, WI operations.

The role collaborates with Operations, Purchasing and Production to improve margins, inventory valuations and financial reporting. A manufacturing background with strong cost accounting and ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong manufacturing cost accounting and inventory knowledge.
• Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Solid general ledger accounting and financial reporting skills.
• ERP experience, SAP preferred.
• Budgeting/forecasting experience a plus.
• Experience in multi-product or engineered-to-order manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze manufacturing cost accounting records, including materials, labor and overhead.
• Assist with labor and overhead rate setting and approvals.
• Develop reports on manufacturing performance, costs, margins, and inventory.
• Perform variance analysis and identify root causes.
• Assist with monthly statements, journal entries and GL reconciliations.
• Support physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and cost-saving opportunities.
• Report key metrics to drive process improvements.
• Document procedures and support internal controls and audits.
• Collaborate across Operations, Purchasing and other departments.
