Job summary

Amtec Staffing in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Estimator to determine fabrication project costs, labor hours, materials and processing against customer drawings and specifications.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing and purchasing to assess risks, lead times and value, compile data into estimating worksheets, and help set sell prices for components and assemblies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience preferred.
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and MRP/ERP software.
• Strong data analysis and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• US person required to comply with ITAR.
• Clear and concise communication across face-to-face and digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and fabrication elements.
• Identify cost drivers and key variables for cost and fabrication.
• Gather data from history, shop floor, purchasing and experience.
• Evaluate re-run jobs for time, material, and processing.
• Obtain and review quotes from vendors and processors.
• Perform risk analysis on capabilities and tolerances.
• Build relationships with key vendors and engineers.
• Compile data into an estimating worksheet and determine sell price.
• Submit quotes to sales or management for review.
• Support operations with other duties as needed.
