Job summary

M.C. Molds Inc. in Michigan is seeking a seasoned Estimator/Planner to analyze blueprints and prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for blow molds, complex parts, and assemblies.

You will structure job details for work orders, schedule new jobs, monitor hours, and collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to produce accurate quotations and on-time deliveries. Experience with JobBOSS and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in estimating, scheduling, or machine shop environments.
• Proficient in reviewing 3D CAD files and engineering drawings.
• Mold making or complex tooling experience is a plus.
• Machining experience (5-axis) a plus.
• Strong skills in MS Office and Excel; ERP experience preferred.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Collaborative with shop staff, designers, programmers and management.
• Experience with JobBOSS and ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Structure job details for work orders and schedule new jobs.
• Perform cost analysis and closed job reviews.
• Consult with vendors, customers, and other departments on estimates.
• Produce quotations with customers and staff to meet deadlines.
• Source vendors for outside processes to support bids.
• Research prior job costs using databases for new estimates.
• Create and maintain weekly customer and plant status reports.
• Plan weekly milestones and monitor resource loading and hours.
