Job summary

CORPORATE RESOURCES OF IL LTD in Bloomingdale, IL, seeks a hands-on Controller to guide financial strategy and drive growth in a manufacturing environment. This role partners with senior leadership to improve visibility, controls, and processes across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of progressive accounting, 6+ in management, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and experience with SAP. You will oversee the close, consolidation, and reporting, and lead a team of five.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with 6+ years in management.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Experience with cost accounting.
• Experience supervising core accounting functions: AP, AR/Invoicing, Inventory Accounting and Payroll.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 5 employees across all accounting operations
• Oversee the monthly close process and financial consolidation for multiple locations while providing technical accounting guidance to staff
• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Partner with senior leadership to develop, administer, and monitor financial plans and budgets, keeping leadership informed of organizational financial performance
• Direct all accounting functions, including policy development, financial systems improvements, and operational management
• Establish and maintain strong internal financial and operational controls, ensuring timely reporting to executive leadership
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies; monitor regulatory changes and manage organizational impact
• Develop and implement structured reporting cadence and performance metrics to proactively assess business performance
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including inventory control and depreciation schedules
