CFS, a local Indiana manufacturing company, seeks an Accounting Consultant at Controller level to lead day-to-day accounting, close processes, and financial reporting. You will partner with operations and executives to drive accuracy and strategic insights.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP and Excel proficiency, and a CPA is a plus. This role offers growth and visibility in a stable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting functions at Controller/Assistant Controller/Senior Accounting Manager level.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Support audits, tax preparation, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
