Job summary

CFS in Plainfield, IN is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to guide financial operations in a growing manufacturing environment. You will influence leadership decisions, drive process improvements, and partner with plant leadership to improve profitability and reporting accuracy.

This role leads all accounting and financial reporting, manages month-end close, budgets, forecasts, cost and inventory accounting, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience required.
• Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager.
• Strong ERP system and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Coordinate audits and support tax compliance activities.
