AirBoss Defense in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Divisional Controller to serve as the senior finance leader for the division. This hands-on role oversees accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, inventory management, and operational performance analysis.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting with commercial manufacturing experience to drive profitability and support strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing organization.
• 5+ years of supervisory/lead experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with effective communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end processing and closing, and lead preparation of financial statements and supporting information.
• Ensure timely completion of all month-end activities.
• Oversee daily accounting activities to maintain GL and sub-ledger; produce accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly GL reconciliations.
• Improve control procedures and ensure internal controls compliance (inventory, AR, AP, fixed assets).
• Drive finance/process improvements via ERP optimization, reporting automation, and data analytics.
• Develop and analyze operational finance metrics (manufacturing KPIs, productivity, scrap, profitability).
• Coordinate budgeting for the division to meet corporate timelines.
• Lead FP&A activities (forecasts, cash forecasting, CAPEX tracking).
• Manage working capital including A/R, collections, and supplier payments.
