Job summary

Genuine Search Group partners with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations. This role involves close collaboration with leadership to shape financial strategy, drive margins and oversee GAAP-compliant reporting.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing finance experience, strong month-end close expertise, and a track record of partnering with operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Experience in a Controller/Plant Controller or similar financial leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Experience partnering with operational and executive leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret financial data, communicate findings and translate numbers into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience working with a large ERP system; SyteLine experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to balance hands-on financial oversight with strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations including month-end close, reporting, and GAAP compliance.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis.
• Partner with General Manager and executive leadership to evaluate performance and support decisions.
• Provide financial insight into manufacturing operations, inventory, margins, costs and profitability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, procurement and other departments to drive efficiencies and improve financial performance.
• Work with centralized shared services to focus on leadership and strategy.
• Present financial results, KPIs and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and streamline processes.
