Luxia is seeking a Buyer to source and procure direct and indirect materials for production across Alabama and Georgia. You will work with internal teams to ensure best value while meeting quality and regulatory standards, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.

This role requires strong negotiation, attention to detail, and ERP/MRP proficiency. The position is based in Mobile, Alabama, supporting operations throughout Alabama and Georgia, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers, freight carriers, and service providers.
• Strong understanding of purchasing principles, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Ability to read technical documentation and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, transportation, automotive, or other regulated industries is a plus.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO standards, or similar.

Responsabilités

• Issue and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials and services to support production and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance, and material availability to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations to understand specifications and requirements.
• Communicate technical, regulatory, and customer requirements to suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, service agreements, and terms to optimize cost and delivery.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships and explore cost savings.
• Negotiate freight rates and transportation terms to improve service and reduce costs.
• Track supplier performance and address delivery, quality, or capacity concerns.
• Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure policy compliance.
• Participate in cost-reduction and strategic sourcing projects.
• Assist with forecasting, planning, and inventory optimization.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives as needed.
