ITT Engineered Valves, LLC in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Buyer to manage day-to-day procurement of goods and services, ensuring costs, efficiency, and quality align with production needs. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in purchasing for manufacturing are expected.

Responsibilities include supplier communications, PO preparation, and maintaining vendor records while monitoring inventory and lead times. APICS certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or similar field required.
• 2+ years purchasing/procurement experience required.
• APICS certification desirable; extra coursework in materials management preferred.
• Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and MS Office; databases a plus.

Responsabilités

• Reviews forecast and MRPs to purchase/allocate items to meet production plans.
• Communicates with vendors on contracts, price, quantities, delivery, and sourcing of new items.
• Works with vendors to improve performance and back-ups other buyers as needed.
• Prepares purchase orders and notifies requisitioners of changes or price differences.
• Maintains vendor records with accurate costs, sources, and lead times.
• Reviews inventories and recommends remedial actions for non-usable or excess stock.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
