Job summary

Harvard University’s VPAL seeks a Managing Director to lead and manage all VPAL production and administrative functions, including Course Creation, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Tech. The role reports to the Vice Provost and Deputy Provost for Strategic Initiatives, guiding strategic initiatives and financial/operational planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of leadership experience.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead large teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead 80+ staff across multiple functions.
• Oversee department budget and financial planning.
• Develop and execute department goals and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with VPAL leadership to translate priorities into projects and timelines.
• Manage external and internal stakeholder relationships.
