Job summary

City of Yuma is seeking a Senior Management Analyst to join City Administration. The role involves leading complex cross-department initiatives, supporting strategic planning, and coordinating policy analysis and intergovernmental affairs.

You will engage with city leadership, elected officials, and community partners to advance priorities. Under general supervision, you will manage budget administration, program oversight, and executive support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, political science, finance or economics, organizational leadership, or a closely related field.
• A Master's degree in public or business administration, or a closely related field is desirable. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex organizational initiatives and cross-department projects from planning through implementation.
• Work with City leadership to implement policy direction and strategic plan; establish organizational goals and performance metrics.
• Conduct organizational, operational, financial, and policy research and analysis to improve municipal operations.
• Assist with development and implementation of City policies and intergovernmental initiatives; monitor legislation and coordinate advocacy.
• Prepare City Council agenda materials, executive briefings, reports, and communications.
• Represents City Administration before governmental agencies and community stakeholders.
• Oversee citizen inquiry responses and manage the citizen request system.
• Direct administrative operations including budget administration, payroll, records management, and supervision.
• Develop and deliver presentations; facilitate meetings and cross-departmental workgroups.
• Participate in emergency management and continuity planning.
