Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to lead its major giving initiatives and steward a portfolio of 150-175 donors and prospects. The role works with the Senior Director of Development to implement a major donor development strategy within the annual fundraising plan.

The officer will perform a significant share of major donor solicitations, manage moves with the Salesforce database, and engage volunteers and Board members to meet fundraising goals

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ nonprofit development experience in major gifts
• Proven track record soliciting gifts over $5,000
• Portfolio management of at least 100 donors
• Commitment to the JCCSF mission
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects
• Knowledge of Bay Area Jewish donor community helpful

Responsibilities

• Manage 150-180 individual donors and prospects per year.
• Implement major donor development strategy within annual plan.
• Perform and close at least 75 personal solicitations per year.
• Collaborate with Senior Director of Development and CEO on major solicitations.
• Track donor interactions in Salesforce.
• Attend community events and board meetings as assigned.
