Job summary

Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay is searching for two Major Gifts Officers to deepen relationships with donors and advance our mission of pursuing justice, promoting healing, and creating meaningful change across the East Bay.

You will cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, managing portfolios and developing engagement strategies. You’ll work with leadership and Board, contributing to planned and legacy giving and our 150th Anniversary celebration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, including 3+ years managing a major donor portfolio.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors.
• Strong relationship-building and storytelling about mission and impact.
• Experience with donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or Blackbaud.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward portfolios of major donors.
• Develop individualized engagement strategies and donor stewardship plans.
• Partner with executive leadership and Board on fundraising initiatives.
• Support planned giving, legacy giving, and special initiatives.
