Job summary

JFCS East Bay is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, managing a portfolio with gifts from $5,000 to $100,000+. You will partner with executive leadership, the Board, and program staff to reach ambitious fundraising goals and support JFCS East Bay’s 150th anniversary initiatives.

In this hybrid role, you will lead donor engagement, advance campaigns, and drive data-informed strategies using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five+ years nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Three+ years managing a major donor portfolio.
• Proven ability to secure gifts of $5,000+ and build a strong pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
• Conduct donor meetings and develop solicitation materials.
• Collaborate with CEO and leadership to advance cultivation.
• Support planned giving initiatives and anniversary campaigns.
