Job summary

Catholic Extension Society seeks a Director of Development for the Midwest Region to lead major gift activities and build strategic fundraising programs across MO, IN, TN, KY, and Chicago and suburbs.

The role requires collaboration with senior administration, the Board of Governors, and local Catholic partners to expand donor networks and enhance major gifts activity throughout the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of post-college work experience and at least six years in frontline major gifts fundraising.
• Experience managing a fundraising territory for a mid to large nonprofit.
• Ability to move individuals through prospect development toward major solicitations.
• Strong knowledge of Chicago and Midwest philanthropic communities.
• Ability to analyze data to inform donor strategy and processes.
• Experience identifying, nurturing, and motivating volunteers.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

• Advance Catholic Extension Society’s major gifts presence in the Midwest.
• Collaborate with the Development Department and Board of Governors.
• Devise fundraising strategies and programs leveraging networks.
• Work with Catholic institutions and partners to expand donor networks.
• Lead and grow major gift activity across the region.
