The Obama Foundation in Chicago is seeking a Director of Development, Midwest to lead a strategic fundraising program across the Midwest, cultivating and closing six- to seven-figure gifts with the support of leadership.

This hybrid role, based at the Obama Presidential Center or remote within the Midwest, requires 8–10 years of fundraising experience, strong moves management, and a track record of closing gifts of $1M+.

Qualifikationen

• 8-10 years of fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Experience managing high-capacity boards and volunteers.
• Proven ability to secure multi-million gifts.
• Midwestern residency and relationships with major donors.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop short- and long-term fundraising plans for the Midwest.
• Manage a portfolio of 100+ seven-figure prospects.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donor relationships.
• Collaborate with Foundation leadership and external stakeholders.
• Track metrics using Salesforce to inform decisions.
• Plan and execute high-capacity donor events.
• Represent the Foundation at conferences and tours.
